Iki approached the strikingly dark mare carefully but with his usual alert enthusiasm. The dark mare stepped back hesitantly at first but with a low whiff, seemed to gain courage. She stepped forward and stuck out her nose to sniff the bright stallion. Iki nickered to her and Mrs. Gabe - who was watching from the fence- couldn't help but smile. "This is going to be a lovely cross James" She said to Dark Ravens seedy looking trainer "Aye, ma'am I think your right about this one." He eyed the other pasture, where another mare - a Harlequine - awaited her stallion, with a dubious eye. "We need a few around that ain't crazy." Mrs. Gabe couldn't help but laugh. "I suppose we do at that... but you must admit, the crazy ones are more fun!"

The multi colored stallion pranced around the brown roan mare who stood nervously in the pasture. Mrs. Gabe kept a close eye on the pair. This would be Alya's first breeding and the stallion, Gazini, had been carefully selected. Mrs. Gabe pursed her lips as the stallion half reared and pawed at Alya. He mare promptly turned tail and ran, though the stallion was soon in hot pursuit. Perhaps as stallion with a little less... spirit, would have been better for Alya but this one had just been to good to pass up. Gazini finally cornered the mare at the far end of the pasture. Alya gave a few half heart-ed kicks, none of which connected, before turning about to meet the annoying stallion face to face. They sniffed nose to nose then Alya, seemingly at ease, turned and walked away to graze. Mrs. Gabe left them with a smile and a word with one of the newer stable hands to keep an eye on the pair.
